Is there a way to tell which codecs are already loaded onto my Windows XP Pro computer?

I'm asking b/c sometimes I get a message like "This application needs Divix to run properly. Install Divix if it isn't already installed." Well I don't know if Divix is installed.

I don't want to just use the app until it potentially crashes. But I also don't want to (re)install Divix if I don't have to.

So how can I tell which codecs are installed on my computer?

Thanks much as always!

Device Manager>Sound, video and game controllers>Video Codecs>Properties

There you will see the list. Cheers!

That will show you all the Video for Windows codecs but to see the DirectShow ones, you either need a tool as suggested by Harm or use Microsoft's GraphEdit.
