Hi, i have an idea! Is it good or is it stupid?

As the G channel has more quality in a HDV color space, then wouldn't be a good idea to shoot with a greenish dominance (using white balance or setting the camera parameters) and then in post re balance the colors in a 4:4:4 space?

Example: in this shot the R vs G vs G quality, noise and resolution are quite different.

Thanks for your advices.

It doesn't really work like that - if you try to sort the colours out in post, it takes the information from the relevant colour channel and therefore won't make any difference...or in the worst case won't look right as you can't balance it properly.

On a side note - this is the reason we use green screen for chromakey on video rather than blue as the green channel is a much higher quality and therefore easier to key out.

Thank you Jo.
So is'nt there a way, using phase or any plugin that can apply the color of a channel to a different channel?
