View Full Version : Playing HG-10 clips in sequence on PS3

I'm using a Canon HG-10 and burning the BDMV & Canon folders onto a DVD and playing the AVCHD files on my PS3. The files play fine, except they pause at the end of each clip, and I have to go back to the menu to advance to the next clip. Does anybody know how to "stitch" the individual clips together so that they will play in sequence from start to finish? I make the playlists in the camera (which links clips together by date), but they don't seem to appear or work on the PS3 (the playlist folders say "There are no titles"). Am I doing something wrong? Any help on this would be greatly appreciated... I'm tired of my 3-year-old telling me "Daddy, stop pausing the movie".

No, I don't think you can do anything short of using a video editor to stitch them together and export them as MP4 for the PS3 (with a re-encoding).

I think there's a way to "group" clips together in the PS3s options (triangle button).

I've looked in the menu options (triangle) and there is no option to "group". The "Next R1" button is grayed-out, and would be the logical button to advance to the next clip (it works when I look at a photo CD). There are files in the playlist folders (both BDMV & Canon) when I burn the disc, but i guess the PS3 can't read them (.MPL file).

Just wondering here... there are options to create playlists under the photo or music categories, but not video. Could a playlist file be created (that the PS3 can read) and put into the BDMV playlist folder... some kind of hack, maybe?

I found the option to "group" the clips - only when you copy them to the hard drive... and they still won't play in sequence when grouped.
