What timing...I am having troubles with SP3.

I've had to do a clean install of Windows XP (Pro) with service pack 3 and when I try to install the Production Studio (CS) software is says in needs service pack 2. Has anyone else encountered this issue and is there a workaround to it? I really hate to have spend another half a day getting everything set up on the machine just to spend another couple of hour installing the Production Studio software.

Cheers, Jon

are you using the SP3 RC or the final gold sp?

No, sorry. I have yet to install SP3 as it has just come out to public today. RC maybe slightly different or you may have discovered an Adobe bug....I will try tonight when I get home and report back here.

Thanks and I will keep searching for an answer. I've posted the questions a few other messageboards.

Good luck when you try it.

I would highly recommend removing the RC and use the Gold version. I have had similar issues with software and pervious RC Service packs.

SP3 working fine with CS3 currently.

My only complaint at this minute is Microsoft removing the "Address Bar" feature from the task bar!!!!! WHAT THE HECK!!! I used that A LOT!!!

Getting rid of the Release Candidate will be mandatory real soon, actually.

If you read all the documentation that came with the Release Candidate, you would know that it includes a time bomb, that is, It Will Stop Working after a period of time.

Release Candidates are meant for evaluation, not production systems.

Thanks for the link to SP3 Gold. I've been looking for it all day and it was not coming up.

One question: Is it for Windows XP 32 bit or 64 bit?

Yeah I saw that, too late, already running SP3 on all my boxes. I don't run POS software so there is no reason to panic.
