Last year was my first year doing wedding videos (only did two for friends) and I just finished a highlights video for one I did in August (a long time ago, I know). Now I'm trying to do it full time. I have only 5 booked this year but hey, what can you do for just your first year in the business.

Since there are many pro wedding videographers here and other people are posting their work too, I thought I might give it a shot too.

This is not a demo reel but a highlights video, so it's pretty long, at 11 minutes and 13 seconds. I tried to fit in as many things as I could :)

Shot with a Canon GL2 and Panasonic DVX100. Edited on Final Cut Pro.

Good effort, I would like to have seen some bride and groom pre-ceremony prep.. I think you can do a lot more slow motion.. I try to add more anticipation and drama into my own wedding edits.. Try to slow everything down and empahsize the moment.. This is a milestone in their lives, and needs to be made "bigger than life" itself.. Some of your pans are pretty fast.. slow it down.. Also use the zoom sparingly.. Also music selection is critical.. Always edit to sound.. try to use the music to build a story, and drama and the exhiliration of the moment..

OK soapbox mode turned off.. I encourage your to keep editing and pushing yourself to become a better storyteller.. that is after all what we are doing..

you did a nice job grabbing all of the important moments... It's seems like it would be easy, but i know i still find it hard to be everywhere at once.
I like the bubbles when they ran out of the church. I wish they did that down here. The past few weddings that i filmed haven't done anything traditional like that.
I got married in italy, where they are still throwing rice. It came out great on video and in our pictures.
