Hello,
I am looking at this camera and wanted to ask if anybody has used it for live shows like theatre, concerts, recitals...
Just wondering if the rolling shutter has presented any problems or difficulties in this type of shooting environment.
Thanks!

With fast flashing lights it can cause problems...
It has good low light, though!

I have yet to see a stage light cause a problem with the EX1. The response time for the stage lights are to slow to cause partial exposure with the EX1.
The stage lighting fixtures use mechanical shutters.

Just bring lots of memory cards, or have a good data wrangler by your side...

Had a frame or two with the "rolling shutter" but it was from flashes in the crowd, not from the stage lights. The band didn't have a strobe but in my experience, I'd have to say that the thought of them having one would be a bit scary. You can see the vid here:

Thanks for your replies.
When you did get a "rolling shutter" issue, how bad was it and what did it look like?
Was it something very noticeable does it fly by and only us vide geeks know to look for it?
Thanks!
