Just spotted this on the Hoodman site, but missed it at NAB.

Did anyone had a chance to try it at the show? It looks like it has not yet been released yet, but seems interesting.

One of our guys bought two of them back from NAB.
I haven't tried putting an EX1 on it as yet but even without the camera on it, it feels kind of wierd. Plus it's more weight your arm has to hold.
Others might find it usefull but so far it seems to me the device is all the wrong way around. The two pads are compressing your forearm which would increase strain and you're adding more weight for your arm muscles to hold.

It seems much less of a "rig" than Hoodman's so it's good for run and gun. It can stay with the camera on the tripod making it fairly easy when you got to go from tripod to hand held quickly. Even if you don't use that way, it's quick to screw in.

We dropped by the Hoodman booth at NAB and tried out the WristShot.

I'm an eGripz user, and the Wristshot was much stiffer overall...I think that they are two different approaches though. The eGripz still allows you to move more fluidly, while the WristShot can completely lock you to the camera. Both approaches can be useful, depending on your needs. At any rate, I think it's a great option for handheld users.
