View Full Version : Stuck: AspectHD mixing 1:1 pixel ratio with 1.33

Can someone help with suggested solution to allow me to take a CG renderded output into the HDV AspectHD timeline with correct pixel ratio.

As I understand the HDV footage is 1440x1080i with pixel ratio 1.33:1, so Premiere displays 16:9 format correctly - not stretched.

I've rendered some CG material using 'ParticleIllusion' and set this also to 1440X1080 but I can't find a way to give it a pixel ratio of 1.33, meaning I get stretched footage in Premiere.

Is they a way I can resolve this to display the CG in correct ratio - or am I limited by my CG application?

Thanks

Try Interpret Footage in Premiere, you can manually set the PAR that way.

Would that still be realtime with Cineform?

I thought pixel ratio had to be set in the source anyway?

It should. Try it.

I resolved this issue a different way. there is a check box in prefs of HDLINK called "maintain source aspect/ratio" I turned this off and with resample to 1440X1080 selected Cineform created the correct 1.33 ratio conversion.

Phew....
