I asked some time ago about saving a file from PAL to NTSC and found with advice and my own reading that it was a piece of cake - simply render out to whatever format you want.

However it appears to be one thing to render to another format in Vegas, and another to produce a DVD with all its menu etc, in NTSC, when the DVD menus etc have all been produced for PAL. Is this so?

I don't want to have to redo all my menus if I don't have to. But if I'm bringing a new file (NTSC) into architect, doesn't that mean that everything has to be redone?

Could be wrong about this, but I think all you need to do is change your DVDA project properties to NTSC and then preview to see how menus and buttons are looking.

Now it would be good if that is the case. Hadn't thought of that. Thanks so much. I'll check it out.

One more question. DVDA has two NTSC widescreen options, 720 by 480, and 704 x 480. Which the common one/best one to use?

720x480 is the common NTSC size.
