Has anybody experienced a problem with the lens cap staying put on the Canon WA lense when the lens hood is on? No problems with just the lens itself but when the hood is on, it pops off quite easily. Thanks.

Can anybody comment on if their lens cap does not exhibit this problem?

Mine is a bit loose, yes. You have the same supplied rubber cap type for front and rear I imagine?

If I put it on carefully a particular way (hard to describe), the front lens cap tends to stay on better, but it's nowhere near as secure as the clip-on one for the main lens.

I've noticed it being a bit loose when the lens hood is on but I've never had it fall off or anything. However, I haven't used the wide angle lens on it much and haven't moved the camera around significantly when I have.

No real issues with the cap on hood with me. It's like other's have mentioned slightly looser that cap on lense but I've never had any problems with it falling off.

For me the rubber WA cap won't hold onto the hood at all.

The only way I can keep the cap on is to hold the camera with the lens pointing in the air. If I turn the camera sideways, the cap falls off.

My cap fell off and I didn't realize it until it was too late. I had to buy another through canon support sales and it was delivered the next day and it fits much tighter than the first. Not sure why that was the case.

My lens cap is fine, but is this thing like 300lbs or what? I feel like I am carrying around a piece of scrap iron. I'm going to have to start working out if I keep this monster...

Contacted Canon via email about the lens cap issue, I specified the cap for the WA lens but they sent me a cap for the XHA1 itself. Emailed back and they apologized for the mix up and sent me the correct lens cap. The new cap fits very snug and does not fall off. Turn around time is probably a couple of weeks, but closer to 6 weeks for me because of the mix up and I had to inquire when I didn't receive it after 2 weeks. No charge to me.

I say dump the camera cap and it always trouble anyway, It is not fitted well enough at all and it touches the lens somthimes and might scratch it . Get this cap here

It is cheap and has more things included too...

Totally! Big time. That sucker weighs a ton and almost doubles the weight of the camera. Oh, and my lense cap is horrible too.
