On a video camera, when you go to full telephoto on a zoom lens, Chromatic Aberration can get quite evident especially with HD resolution. Using a 35mm adapter and SLR lenses, with all that glass, the image goes from worse to worser

So, in post once the footage has been captured:

Does a video-editing application filter exist? Oh please say one does... please!

What you are looking for is an "Achromat lens".

EDIT: Oops, my bad... you're looking for a plugin filter to fix CA in post, aren't you? Sorry, I'm not aware of one.

Thanks Frank, yes, in post.

Like, every single camera I've seen has a bit of CA.. its normal, but could be fixed. Photoshop has a filter, so it shouldn't be far fetched for a video app!!

Has anyone a filter/suggestion to correct chromatic aberration?

The easiest and quickest solution I can come up with is using MagicBullet Looks and playing around with the chromatic aberration filter.. it seems gimmicky, but, the only quick option I can see

There is a CA correction available in a still image plugin called PTLENS....
PTLens (http://www.epaperpress.com/ptlens/index.html)

If you have Photoshop Extended, you can apply this fix across a timeline.

On the music video I just finished we had problems with CA from the studio cameras in the studio we used. We used the Spill Suppressor (blue) in FCP to get rid of it but it would only work if you have no other blue in the shot.

We tested a few other filters but nothing else got rid of it effectively.
