View Full Version : New Mac product from Matrox Germaine Baron April 14th, 2008, 10:04 PM Matrox announced the MXO2 for Final Cut Studio / Adobe Production Premium on the Mac. http://www.matrox.com/video/en/products/mxo2/ Mike Testin April 15th, 2008, 01:20 AM So could you run the SDI out of the EX1 and into this box and take that live into the macbook for capture at 10 bit 422? Christopher Ruffell April 15th, 2008, 01:51 AM Looks nice! Maybe I missed it.. did it mention pricing anywhere? Felix Sorger April 15th, 2008, 03:57 AM Looks nice! Maybe I missed it.. did it mention pricing anywhere? from http://www.matrox.com/video/en/press/releases/mxo2/ Price and availability Priced at $1,595 US in North America (£899, €1,295) not including local taxes, Matrox MXO2 will be available in July 2008 through a worldwide network of authorized dealers. - I had the MXO1 for a few weeks, already a very nice product but I was missing the input... The Aja I/O Box is overpriced and apparently not working so well but the MXO2 looks truly amazing! Nils G. Refstrup April 15th, 2008, 04:14 AM Battery powered HD SDI input device. Now that is a product I have been waiting for. And it looks like it will be the perfect companion for the entire Sony XDCAM line. Lets hope it ships with working drivers, and not the usual matrox "perhaps in a year or so" fixes. Justin Benn April 15th, 2008, 04:58 AM from http://www.matrox.com/video/en/press/releases/mxo2/ The Aja I/O Box is overpriced and apparently not working so well but the MXO2 looks truly amazing! Yes it does. And I could use the money saved getting one of these instead of the IOHD towards picking up an EX3 rather than an EX1. Will watch this one for sure. Jeremy Hughes April 15th, 2008, 07:53 AM July is so far! That looks awesome though. Does anyone know if you can monitor out via the HDMI at the same time? I like the XLR support as well and all for that price? Nice! Holger Neuhaeuser April 15th, 2008, 08:28 AM What I like to know is if it has a hardware encoding chip for all the mentioned formats, like the aja io hd has for prores ? Or does it only support those formats? I think this will make all the difference between a killer application and a portable adaptor. |
