Announced at NAB 2008:
"Matrox is leading the way in mobile editing on the Mac," said Alberto Cieri, Matrox sales and marketing director. "Broadcasters tell us they need a way to upload video from laptops in the field and MXO2 is our answer for them. It's lightweight, fits in a laptop bag, and runs for hours on a field battery. It's also a complete I/O solution for post facilities, at an incredibly affordable price point."
Full press release: http://www.matrox.com/video/en/press/releases/mxo2/
Product info: http://www.matrox.com/video/en/products/mxo2/
Availability: July 2008
Pricing: US$ 1595
Portable HD-SDI in/out for your MacBook Pro, workflow support for XDCAM, XDCAM HD, XDCAM EX and P2, connects via ExpressCard/34 or PCIe (Mac Pro).
This, a MBP and a FW800 drive would be a great field capture station and it does color correction to a HDMI LCD like the MXO as well!
