Greetings,

I am a FCP newbie coming from 10 yrs on a trusty Media 100.

I am on deadline with a project and am having trouble batch digitizing clips which I have logged. The problem is intermittent - and I can sometimes get a clip (8 - 14 minutes) to digitize if I close and reopen FCP.

I do get the error message

"Tape trouble. Check VTR. Do not attempt to eject tape or use transport w/o checking VTR first".

This message shows up somewhere before the end of the clip as the tape continues to run fine.

My setup is as follows:

Mac Pro dual Quad
Internal 1.5 T raid (target disc)
Kona LH
digitizing via component video and AES audio
Kona LH 525 29.97 DV codec
Sony DSR 80 VTR
mini DV tape source tape/s

Problem happens accross different tapes.

Any help greatly appreciated!

This problem also persists - intermittently - on "capture now" - very frustrating.
