Hi,
Im trying to do a letterboxed version out of my 1080p material. I'm going about it by changing the project settings to DV pal 720x576 and the material adjusts itself properly with black bars on top and bottom as expected. But there is a couple of additional pixel lines. See the picture.
Anyone know a cure for this? Or do I have to mask it?

You might have to create a four point garbage matte ( I'm not sure if I have described that correctly ) and lose just a little of the image to mask the lines out.
The lines I think come with the fully underscanned image you are now presenting. They would normally be hidden outside of the display safe-area.

Either that of do a very fine crop in a little to fully fill the frame (using the pan and crop function). For the record this is best done on deinterlaced stuff (or true progressive like you) or you risk creating horrible "combe" effect (or what I call "venetian blind" effect) as cropping can sometimes swap the field order when done on interlaced video, depending which line is at the new "top".
Not in front of my editing PC right now but I think this can be done in the track as well so that it applies to all clips rather than having to do each individually.
