Hi folks,

evertime I play back my sequence fcp reports dropped frames when playhead reaches subtitled segments, using lower 3rd text. What could be the problem?

Now the lower thirds are rendered, not trying to play in real time? What other things have you done?

For now you can try in Final Cut Pro - Click On > Sequence > Render All > Both. Note: that everything in the Render All Menu should be checked. By doing this you will eliminate anything that might be trying to play in realtime without being rendered. Realtime items tend to be harder to play then rendered items.

Single G4 processor is the problem. Render your effects first and don't expect too much real-time processing from a single G4.
