Hi

I am after some "more" help from you wonderfully clued up people......

Is there any software that will enable me to chromakey in realtime. It does not need to be good quality.

I need to check that actors are in the correct position for some screen screen shots. I want to be able to put the cgi background up on the screen , check they are in the correct position and then actually film with the camera. I will then import into after effects and key out the green properly. I am not after hardware ideas, needs to be software please ......

Any ideas ?

Thanks

I believe Serious Magic (now Adobe) Ultra 2 does this. I don't know if you can get it separately anymore. It's bundled in the Production Premium CS3 package.

If you can find it, an old product also by Serious Magic, Visual Communicator Pro did green screen in real time quite well. It's been discontinued though. :(

i think it does do a live key, and there is a laptop like hardware that is made for a live key but its probably thousands of dollars

we used to use the Newtek Video Toaster for this back in the day but currently just capture footage into a laptop and pull a quick key to test. Granted its not real time but it works just fine in most cases especially when we're needing to light to a specific background.

you could half mix insted of key.
surely would be easier to achieve.
