Hi
I have been copying VHS mainly amateur produced VHS footage to mini DV using a Panasonic NV-SV121EB to a Panasonic DS38. I have been using the S-Video and Audio outputs. The VCR is not connected to anything else. Its a SVHS deck and has been copying the VHS tapes until today.
I am wondering whether there is some code that disables copying in the DS38 if the camera encounters a broadcast recording? The picture goes through to the DS8 but I can longer record. There are no messages and the camera still records when its in Camera mode.
Although, VCR's and video cameras are not computers they do have micro-chips. So their operational functionality maybe changed by software.
