View Full Version : Aspect HD timestamp?

I'm trying out a trial version of AspectHD, and am disappointed by the UI. I was hoping it would support timestamping of the filenames when capturing video (with split scenes), similar to what happens with HDVSplit or Scenealyzer.

Am I missing something, or is this really not supported?

It appears I can take a pass with HDVSplit to get the m2t files (and timestamped filenames), then again with AspectHD to get the cineform codec. Any down side to doing this, besides the extra time?

You feature put a feature request, I although it the first time I heard of this one. Tell suport with your feature request where you are capturing in Premiere or HDLink.

No negative impact when converting third party M2T files other than time.

Let me ask a slightly different question -- do the cineform .avi files contain the recording date/time of the original recording at all? Is there any software mechanisms for reading this information?

At a camera hobbiest, I have lots of short home videos recorded, and when I go back to edit them, I really need to have the original date/time reference for each clip.

Thanks,
John

They have the time and date of the original CineForm compression, like when captuing from HDSDI/HDMI. They could contain similar data from an M2T stream, but you are the first to ask for it. Put in the feature request.
