In a recent aspect update this was listed as a new feature. I have been longing for better color controls, specifically RGB curves but Aspect has remained relatively simple here. Does this have anything to do with it? Or am I just thinking wishfully?

That is a feature for RAW Camera decoders: SI-2K, Red, Dalsa, Vision Research.
