For that much money you'll have to have low expectations and wide focal lengths. I think the 503HDV and 3181 legs are the best deal. You need to evaluate spreaders, height ranges, leg locks, etc., of course.

For that money you can get a decent Bogen-Manfrotto with fluid head.
