I've been using my FX-1 with a WA lens for so long that its just to difficult not to use one now. I'm currently considering this one:

If anyone has any other suggestions, please let me know. I know that Century Optics is a great brand. I also like the weight on this one. Its only .63 lbs., where some of the others are pushing 2 lbs.

Why not just wait until Sony releases the Carl Zeiss 1/3" wide-angle lens for this camera? That's what I plan to do.

Not released yet, and not a lot of info. There's a brief mention in this Sony press release:

And a brief mention in this Sony publicity video:

Looks to be 8x, made by Carl Zeiss.

I noticed that in the in description of the camera on the Calumet or Abel Cine site. I haven't heard anything else about it though. Can we guess how much this thing is going to cost?

I'm guessing $1, wouldn't that be nice. But I think realistically we would be looking at around a few grand. I think roughly around $2k, does anyone else have a better idea?

I think for that amount I'd rather just buy the Century Optics WA lens for around $500. It weighs just over a half pound, much less than other WA lenses I've owned.
