One thing that infuriated me with Connect was it's inability to capture a tape as a whole clip without audio sync errors etc. As a result a tape was automatically divided up into a hundred or so clips, each with newly generated timecode.
I'm in pre production for an upcoming shoot where I will be digitising the HDV footage with NEO. Anyone know whether I should not bother booking our PA for this one? The first time I found this out our poor PA had spent 1 week on set logging every scene and timecode all for nothing!!!! Pretty infuriating for our budget too!
If my camera generated timecodes are still obsolete when using NEO too...please please please CINEFORM...............SORT THIS OUT!!!!
There happens to be a good reason for logging timecode on set!
