Hugh,

the clips look very good on my computer.

I was curious what you are converting them for, like a web library, UWOL competition, etc.

the clearity is pretty awesome.

I maytry those settings with some of my footage and see how they do for sd.

I have been unhappy with my stuff until the other day I tried just 1080i and then tried to capture with cineform NEO HDV just de-interlacing it into a an avi clip, then I tried putting it on the vegas timeline at 24p and then rendered it out to mpeg4 , I was ver happy with that, then went further, and used 29.97p so the change was just to progressive. then I read that progressive might be alittle filmy instead of the real detail I was looking for. So I tried sharpening to medium, and I also tried the 32 bit in properties. all this adds up to a noticeable difference. I render at 3mb, I guess a guy to try 4 to 6 mb per sec. maybe more hd, but the file starts getting large.
