Can you record a short edited clip back into the camera an onto the expresscard?

I'm guessing no, but you could do this with an HVX.

I believe this has been discussed on the board but I can't find the thread at the moment, but I'm pretty sure the answer is no.

No, however you CAN convert your edited sequence to HDV 1080i and record that back to the SxS card through firewire. Hopefully Sony will give us the ability to write XDCAM EX back to the card in a future update... I know I sure could use it!
