Has anybody watched this series? http://www.digitalcinematraining.com/
I borrowed this set of dvds from a friend and it has been EXTREMELY informative and helpful for me. I'm somewhat new to video production (3-4 yrs) and before I began watching this series I thought I knew a lot. This series covers a lot of the basic principles of video/film production in a very accessible way. I've read a lot of books, but nothing compares to WATCHING someone sit there and explain it to you step by step. Highly recommended! It is very expensive mind you (around $500!) but if you can borrow it from someone, or write it off, or just have half a grand laying around that you're not going to send to me, it's definitely worth it.

Anyone know of any other video series like this? I'm addicted.

peace.

Hollywood Camera Work: Master Course in High-End Blocking and Staging.

Highly reviewed, detailed training in blocking actors for movement and action, enhancing dialogue scenes etc. I really like and recommend this, though, like anything good, not cheap.

Just think "value proposition".

As far as I can tell, the answer is "no" at least not on the set I have. I haven't seen any news from their website/myspace pages lately, so I don't know if Rush has any updates planned anytime soon (it would be nice to see a gear guide '09), but it might be worth emailing him to suggest that in future versions of the series.
