Hi all,

I have recently got the SONY HVR Z7 hoping to use it for wildlife. I own a few nice CANON still 35mm lenses (70-200 f-2.8 IS, 300 f-2.8 IS, 400 f-5.6, 500 f-4 IS) that I would love to use on the Z7. I have heard that the lens mount of the Z7 and the JVC HD are identical.
If this is true - is there an adaptor available?

Thanks!

Ofer,

you will be better off searching for this in the ALTERNATIVE IMAGING thread.

I've been told that it's impossible to mount Canon FD lenses on an HD110. I've not found a Canon FD to JVC HD adapter.

Thanks Bill!! I guess I will have to use NIKON then.

Canon FD flange to focal plane is 42mm, ( If my addled memory serves me correctly. ) Nikon F flange to focal plane is 46.5mm. The in-air flange to focal plane for the standard Fujinon I do not know but it seems to be in the ballpark of about 37mm when you hold it up to a groundglass.

My initial impression is that it may not be impossible, maybe just not commonly done.

Look up Les Bosher in a search and you may find something either exists, can be made to exist as a custom job or is impossible.
