I'm wondering if the setting used for the hv20 24p on HD link (3:2 Pull down) are the same used with the new canon hv30 in order to capture 30p.

You don't use the pulldown removal for 30p sources. Simply set progressive in the encoder option with in HDLink, nothing else should be set.
