Does anyone know if the Z7 ships with the Final Cut Pro plug-in required to use the M2t files created by the compact flash recorder in FCP?

Matt Davis March 1st, 2008, 02:23 PM You can download the required FCP plugin from Sony. Paul Kendal March 1st, 2008, 03:22 PM Hey Matt, can you please post the link to this download. Thanks, Paul Tim Ducharme March 1st, 2008, 05:53 PM http://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/video/mpegstreamclip.html Paul Kendal March 2nd, 2008, 12:15 AM Thanks Tim.....I know about streamclip....I was hoping that Matt would help us all out by posting the link that he says you can download the FCP plug-in so we can edit without the extra step of transcoding in streamclip. Kenny Pai March 2nd, 2008, 12:50 AM Sony hasn't released the plugin yet. It should have been released in Feb. My friend heard from Sony. Tim Ducharme March 11th, 2008, 03:40 PM I found this on another forum: http://support.d-imaging.sony.co.jp/www/pro_hdv/fcp_plugin/ It was just released today. I don't use FCP so I cannot test it. Good luck. Drew Long March 11th, 2008, 05:02 PM Thanks. That works by converting M2t files into Pro Res under Log and Transfer. Still does not recognize the files directly. Well it's better than a 2nd app. Matt Davis March 12th, 2008, 02:37 PM I was hoping that Matt would help us all out by posting the link that he says you can download the FCP plug-in so we can edit without the extra step of transcoding in streamclip. I no longer have access to a Z7, but it's the updated version of the XDCAM Transfer software IIRC: http://www.sony.co.uk/biz/view/ShowContent.action?site=biz_en_GB&contentId=1166605189229 |
