Hello, i want make a shortfilm with my friend. I have a Sony PMW-EX1 and he have a Sony HVR-Z7. This short must be make in 1080/25p.
The NLE system is Apple Finalcut Pro 6. My question:
It is possible convert in Finalcut Pro 6 the PMW-EX1 1920x1080/25p footage to HDV progressive? Or the HVR-Z7 1440x1080/25p convert to XDCAM EX progressive?

Or its better when shoot with the PMW-EX1 and the HVR-Z7 in HDV 1080/50i?

The Z7 has only half of the resolution of the EX1.
So I guess it doesn't matter what mode you use...

I would recommened to shoot in 1080p HQ (EX1 with detail=off) and 1080i (Z7 HDV, good deinterlacing@25p+resizing@1920x1080+sharpening)

I think it 'll better match using the XD CAM in sp mode (HDV).
