Just taken delivery of my A1. Whops my trusty old XL1 into the back of last year, just cannot believe the quality of this camera. Low light!!! Anyone who complains about the low light capabilities of this machine really needs a life, you don't know you've been borne.
Took mine down to the local church this morning to test out what it could do and with no lights on in the church or on the camera it beat the XL1 hands down with a max 6 gain - could have gotten away with 0 gain in places.
By pure chance there was a guy in putting the organ through its paces and giving it full throttle - no problems for the audio on auto - never peeked once and believe me, it was loud.
Haven't even started to fly this thing properly yet but I know it will do more than I ever thought.

I found the same thing with mine. It was much better in low light than I had expected. And +3db and +6db are acceptable for most things if it's really dark.

Yea I agree, especially after pushing it a little in post. It brings it right up.
One of my first jobs with the A1 was a candlelit wedding. They failed to tell me about this beforehad. it was the sacristin who informed me. So basicallcy i knew it would be a bad idea to light the place myself. I had to go with the candle lighting. I couldnt believe how the camera handled it.
At one stage I bumped the shutter down to 25fps and it was unbelievable. I was afraid to leave it in it in case it was too stuttery but since then I do if i have to. For wedding stuff there's very little movement anyway.
