Brooklyn finally had a coating of snow for the first time this winter. I grabbed the the XH A1 and shot some footage around our office. The footage is best viewed with Firefox.

XH A1
Mode 60i SD
Gamma Cine 2
Knee High
Black middle
Master Ped -1
Setup level 0
everything else 0

Since I was shooting scenes with a dramatic exposure range, I exposed for the highlights and used a Tiffen 1/4 Low contrast filter to hold some detail in my shadows. The filter also took off a little of the edge of the video.

That's good to know. Good footage you shot. I shoot a lot in the snow up here. Shot this recently in bright sunshine with only a polarizer.

Worked pretty well, I think.

I checked and there appear to be five different Tiffen contrast filters. Which one did you use?

Looks real pretty with the snow, such a nostalgic look you got with the settings and filter. I wanna shoot like that. I thought using 24F was the way to do it, but alas, no.

Can't wait to get back there.
