I have a wedding this weekend and the bride mentioned that her Dad has passed away and that there will be a "tribute" toast to him. I plan on videotaping this for them but I was wondering if anyone else has been in this situation and how it was addressed in editing.
For ex should I "tribute" him in the video or just incorporate the footage knowing when they see it they will know what it was?
Any ideas are appreciated!
Thanks in advance!

I had the same situation last year. A brides father past the weekend before her wedding. The groom told me not to include a slideshow/tribute to her father in the video, but to remember the "best" of the day. I agree with his thought because a wedding is to remember to best of things and if they want a tribute it should be on a seperate disc not apart of the wedding.

I'd shoot it so you have it on tape but I'd confer with the client as to whether to include it in the edited video.
