I have read one or the other for a film like look. I start filming my first short tomorrow and will be testing these two today. What's the word on the street? Which is better 24f or 30f? I will be shooting inside with the existing flourscent lighting. It's a horror/mystery short so I want it on the dark and creep side. Any recommendations or should I stick with 60i and do any film like effects in post?

Using: Canon xh a1
NLE: Sony Vegas Pro
Tape: JVC hdv tape

I like the 24 fps look, but that alone doesn't give you any "film look." If you're shooting under available fluorescent lighting I don't see how you're going to get a dark, creepy look.
