Does anyone know if the chrosziel matte box that fits the 20x lens can be adapted to the 6x lens? It would be a shame if it can't easily be swapped across.

if the diameter is right it will fit.
just check 16x9inc.com and see what
it is compared to the 6x front element.

the problem you may have is that
it may be too "deep" so you will
have the sides/top of the mattebox
in the frame.

We have the Chrosziel sunshade and
it works great, but is not as deep as the
matte box.

It will fit. The problem is getting a focus gear that mates with the 6x and the Chrosziel follow focus.

I used a Zacuto customizable lense ring gear - it's a length of plastic with correct gear pitch that you cut to length for the 6X - it works fine.

If you have two trays in your mattebox, you'll need to have 4x5.650 filters in the second tray for the 6x wide.

Yeah, I used the exact same product from Zacuto. It works great. But because the focus ring on the 6x is a servo the Zacuto clip sometimes come around full circle and stops when it hits the FF gear.

Not a big deal to work around. But it would be nice of someone, anyone, made a proper gear ring.

Somehow I suspect that the number of 6x lenses sold by Canon is so small that no one's bothered making the gear.

Will check with Chroziel at NAB this year - a rep usually can be found hanging around at the BandPro booth.

Last time I checked Chroziel's website it was very rudimentary - not much info.

Agreed on the desire for a real lense gear. Awesome lense.

Hoping the XDR Flash Recorder breathes some life into the XLH1 sales so further development will be forthcoming.
