Hello gents;

Working on a project for a client and it will need 3D animation.

It is a bio tech product that will require a person, in a spandex suit being crushed by blood corpuscles, among other things.

It will probably need to be built in something like Maya, or Poser and Bryce, Flash, Motion and/or After Effects.

This is a paid contract gig.

Email me samples and let's talk...would much rather have a fellow DVinfo-er get the gig rather than passing it to India.

Hi there, I need someone who has a digital camera preferably with a 35mm adapter. I also need a sound person with the sound equipment.

It's a 4 hour shoot max in Slough, berkshire. I am willing to pay/reimburse travelling costs. You can also stay the night at mine if need be.

Other details such as money, food and script can be discussed if you are interested.

Slough is in the UK by the way

Please help.

Hey everyone,

I need a talented visual effects artist to help me finish my movie Hellevator. It's a short film shot almost entirely in front of a green screen and I need to get the final act's FX done. If you're interested, check out Hellevator on MySpace Films - New Films & Documentaries (http://www.hellevatormovie.com) (go to a MySpace page) to see the first bit of the movie.

I need someone who can match the look (blue) and feel of the other FX. Please email me privately and I'll give you more info. Please also send me a link to some of your stuff.

This isn't a paid gig, sorry to say, but the movie was written by David Michelinie, who wrote/co-plotted some of the greatest Iron Man stories with artist/co-plotter Bob Layton. David also created Venom, Spider-Man's big villain. I'm hoping the film will get into a lot of film festivals and give all of us exposure.

Thanks for your consideration.

Heath

Hi.

I have 13 years of experience in the video production field. I currently use a Sony EX1 and a Canon 7D. I have access to an incredible amount of audio, lighting and mechanicals such as a jib, dolly, etc. I also know how to write for broadcast. I am very willing to travel if necessary as I have worked all over the world in some very remote places. I am not afraid to get dirty to get some great shots. There is no ego here, client first!

Either in November or December I may need another camera angle to shoot a concert and I’m wondering if anyone with preferably an HMC40 (or maybe an HMC150 if it’s dark) would be willing to help shoot it. I just want the camera on a tripod for around an hour and except for maybe 2 or 3 shots, you don’t even have to touch the camera. If the budget allows it, I’ll even except shooters who either own an EX1, EX3, HM700 or an HPX300. Although not required, you’ll get a little more if your skilled with capturing good live band audio.

Basically if you have any one of those camera and willing to make some quick money for just around an hour, please email me.

Hi All,

I'm looking for someone that would like to edit a few wedding video I've shot over the last couple of months. It's become harder and harder to make time for editing. I am a full time still photographer. If anyone in the my area (new jersey,pa,ny) is interested in editing these videos for me please let me know. It's a mix of xh-a1 and 5d footage. Everything was shot at 30p. I only need a 2-3 minute trailer and a 20 minute long edit for each video. Please message me with a price quote and any other info you might like me to have.

Thanks!
Ryan

I'm sorry I have been out of the loop too long to know what to charge for a project. I'm shooting and editing a video for a non profit, about 2 mins long I think. Talking head with cutting in shots the person is taking in Haiti. I will be shooting the interview with my 7D, light kit, lav mics, recorder. Have to rent everything but the 7D. Loaning them my HV-20 to shoot in Haiti and will be cutting in that footage. I am located in Minnesota if that affects anything.

I really have no idea what to charge so any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

For this situation, I would estimate how long it would take to edit the whole piece together and apply an hourly rate to that. So for example:

10 hours (interviewing)
40 hours (editing)
Total: 50 hours x $40/hour = $2000

$2000 + $100 (est. rental fees) = $2100

Based on that formula, you can adjust your hourly rate depending on the job/work.

Hi! I have been preparing for an indie feature for a year. Scenes have been scoped out. Equipment decided on.
I am going with a 7D as the prime camera, theres really nothing to compare, if you can avoid jello.

Its a romantic comedy. I can give more information later.

I prefer someone with a photography background, or some artistic bent. A painter, musician, etc. Technology can be taught, but the artistic "feel" is harder to get.

I have all the equipment needed, lenses etc. just need the 1 person.

I want this to be a paid job, but cannot afford to pay industry rates - so an ideal person would be someone just starting on video, with a prior experience in photography (i.e. composition). This way it will be a paid learning experience type of a job.

I can also trade time - I work in Sydney as a professional dancer, and teach around the universities, so I could trade Latin, Salsa or Jazz classes in return.

The shots are in the early dawn hours - 5-7 a.m. near the Sydney CBD. Alternatively some scenes are at night.

There are 9 scenes in total and I will film 2 of them myself. There is dancing in the film.

One of the shot is a matrix-style bullet-time sequence with 55 Canon Powershot cameras.

Check this thread ...

Setup for CHDK matrix bullet-time rig with Powershot A450 and A460 cameras (http://chdk.setepontos.com/index.php?topic=4103.new;topicseen#new)

Please pass this on to anyone you think may be interested.

Greetings Everyone.

I know everybody's seen ads like this before, and heres another one.

We are building a network of videographers across the country. The videographers will be shooting and editing short business profile videos for a wide variety of companies. By joining the network, you will be offered shoots that are needed for your location. What this means is that by joining, you may or may not ever hear from us, but if we have a shoot, we will call.

We do not require any specific equipment or specific cameras, as long as it is of decent quality (3-chip, or a nice CMOS). You need to have a good tripod tripod, and most importantly, a good microphone (lavalier, shotgun).

For editing, we don't care if it's FCP, Vegas, Premier......heck it could be iMovie if your really good at it. As long as the video can look and sound professional, we're happy.

So, if your interested in joining our list and getting calls if we have a shoot in your area, just send us a quick e-mail with a description of who you are, where you are, and a link to your work. The e-mail to send to is:

Dear DVinfo Users,

My name is Mike Krumlauf. I am a young filmmaker in pre production on my first feature entitled "Written Images". The film focuses on a story I feel has NOT been told before and i feel it might gain some of your interests as well.

It follows the pains of being a gay teen both in and out of the closet. Information about the film can be seen on its page on facebook.

I set up a donation website that can help me raise money for production. My budget is currently set at 75,000. If you donate one dollar, it can help me tremendously.

Links to the facebook page and donation page are bellow.

Hi,

My XL2 has died mid-shoot. It's the biggest shoot of the year for me and I nearly cried when it happened.

I am appealing to any XL2 owner within a sensible distance from Farnborough/Basingstoke in Hampshire (say 50 miles?) who doesn't need their camera between now and close of play on Friday and who is willing to lend or hire it to me so I can finish this shoot. It's all indoors and there are three crew in total.

I will gladly pay a sensible hire charge in cash, leave my passport with you, a credit card, my children (well, one of them), my birth certificate - anything you need for security.

I am fully insured against theft and accident (with Photoguard) and can let you have copies of those documents if required.

Is there any kind soul who can help me out? I really am desperate!

I can be reached on 07900 904721 any time.

Hi All....

I am looking for anyone who lives in the Sydney metropolitan area that might be interested in working with 3 other people on filming live bands.. so far the money hasnt been huge and its not really inconsistent so i wouldnt want to create any illusions, but that has been changing slowly.. Our hope is to find someone who would enjoy it first and foremost the same as we do and then potentially make a bit extra also..

We get to work on some cool gigs. We have worked with some of the countries better bands and also the odd international act so its generally got good production value.. Its also a good team enviroment between the 3 of us.. Whatever we do is available for everyones portfolios, so you can take the work with you and use in your own CV etc...

IF anyone is interested let me know. We have a system on how we organise things and divide money when its there, id be happy to explain it to whoever is keen to get involved.. I can also list our setups and give some examples of recent work.

If you couldnt make it from time to time that is no sweat, we can shuffle things around and usually make it work but it would just be good to have someone we can contact when gigs come up.. Also it tends to be rock bands that we record so if you dont like rock guitar you probably wont like what we're doing..

please email or PM me if interested.. cheers..

Need to find a good Shooter/Editor that can take over a role I am leaving in Denver, CO. Great place to work, really good pay and benefits. The projects include interview set-ups, project site shoots (Construction, Power Plants, Re-mediated locations, etc.), Motion Graphics intensive commercial work. The role requires a good sense of self-reliance and resourcefulness, while also being able to communicate very well with corporate clients. Great role for anyone looking to boost their creative license in a corporate setting.

2-3 years event or wedding videography experience
Must have experience using Adobe Production Premium (Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Photoshop)
Team player, work well with others

Pay:Salary, benefits

Sorry to bother you..
Seems really a good opportunity.. I'd love to do it.. change life and come over there to work. To many link here (Italy).
Still.. I'd really like to know if I could have been your man and the salary (you can write me in private). I don't want to waste your time but I am really curios because I am planning to leave Italy (and maybe Europe) in the next years.

36 yrs old
English mother so I speak and write english
Winner of school math competition.
Worked with PD150, Sony Z1 and now JVCV HM700
Started with weddings and events (only 1 year weddings.. still do events).
Now I have my own small company. I manage a small troupe that I direct my slf (sometimes we are 2 sometimes 5). We do corporate stuff mainly but also some (low budget) commercials.
I use CS4 package. I don't call my self a Graphic Artist but I can use PS and AEFX quite easily.
I edit in Premiere all the time.
At present 50% of my job is producer and 50% is shooting/editing
This is my internet site siRoma (http://www.siroma.com)

I'd really like to know if I would have had a chance and if not why.

All the best,

Marcello

Still don't have my camera back from repair and looks like it's going to be another two weeks which is killing me and my business (which is all SD, by the way, contrary to the suggestion of another poster who said SD for corporate is dead. Simply not the case).

If anyone can find it in their heart to help out a fellow DVi-er they will forever be my hero. (Doesn't have to be an XL2, I should add).

Hopefully,

Hey Ian,
I presume you are referring to my post. I didn't mean to say that people aren't still making money shooting SD video. Heck, I am. What I did mean is that on corporate shoots with a significant budget, namely, a team of grips and lighting people and a dedicated sound guy (that's where I come in), I haven't seen an SD camera in years.

Would love to help you out with an XL2 (which I have and love), but obviously I'm not in the UK. But if you could afford the air fare .... :)
