I am in the middle of a documentary project and a very last minute opportunity to film with our subject has come up for this Friday June 19 in Minneapolis. Due to budget reasons I will not be available to attend so I'm looking for a local hire. The agency I am working with will have someone on hand to lead. This is a very fun reality/documentary style project!

- I need someone shooting on a Sony EX1 or EX3 as the entire project is all shot in Sony XDCAM 720P30.

- I will need someone available for the day, but will only be needed to film for about 4-5 hours tops. (We don't know the exact schedule yet so it is very important to have someone with full day availability June 19)

- There is a flat rate available of $250 for the 4-5 hours of filming.

If you or anyone you may know in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area uses a Sony EX1 or EX3 and are available and interested please reply or send me a DM.

Thanks and I hope to hear from you soon!

Do you need a PA for those days? I'm looking for crew work such as PA, Boom Op, or Location Sound Mixer. If you could use my help let me know. I have experience, equipment, and references. I will await your response.

Thanks

So it has just been confirmed that we will only be needing the videographer from 9-12ish. Same budget. Should be very easy straight forward shoot. It will be at the Target Center Arena.

I know it's very last minute, but it would be awesome to get someone on board! We have tried every online outlet we can think of an no responses yet...

Hi Paul,

I live 30 minutes away from Hilversum and own/operate an EX1.

Someone has an option on the 13th but I may be able to work something out.

Take a look at my website: Imagine Video Productions (http://www.imaginevideo.nl) and a project I'm working on (EX1 material) www.iaminnocent.org

I'd like to hear some more about this project. Contact me via my website/emailaddress, if you're interested. Hope to hear from you soon,

Zacuto, a leading manufacturer of indie filmmaking accessories and camera rental house located in Chicago, is looking to hire some new employees to act as a “jack of all trades”. These employees will need to help out wherever help is needed. Examples of departments that may need help are sales, marketing, rentals, video production, and/or fulfillment. Candidates must be flexible, like a change in job and pace, and be able to juggle multiple tasks. We are looking for enthusiastic people who are excited to enter the Zacuto experience and help out where needed with no complaining! Please send resumes and a cover letter to mandy@zacuto.com

Hello, my team (Team VIP) has entered into the 48 hour film fest for Tampa.

We have a full production crew already assembled... (20 or so) and we'll have our cast assembled as of July1st. We're having problems locking down a location to shoot a for Sat July 18th..

Anyone have any suggestions? We've placed a few calls to the parks&recreation office, but haven't had a response yet.

We need somewhere that won't be filming public in the background as I'm under the impression we'd need a release form for every person on film.

I'm not a film guy actually.. Just somehow became an organizer and started this production company and learning the business side of the ropes for film/video slowly.

Any help is welcome!

Sorry for the late reply, I'm neck deep in editing. In general, there is a $25 fee for a first visit to help defray the cost of the food (we've got great food, as most people come to our meetings straight from work). That fee goes towards your membership and gives you the benefits of access to a lending library, access to private forum, and entry into all exhibitions. Trust me when I say its a bargain. Hope to see you at a future event.

Hey Guys and Gals,
I'm in desperate need of a Colorist. I have several projects that have been sitting on the shelf for months/year now that need to be graded and added to my reel. I'm in search of an inexpensive, but adept Colorist who can help me out. Due to my lack of income this year I'm probably unable to pay someone their usual rate. With that in mind, I'm looking to possibly trade my services, DP/Cam Op and even my camera for rental, for their services if possible. So, please let me know if you have someone in mind who could help me out.

I appreciate it.

Thanks in advance,

Hey Guys,
I'm a young, non-union DP looking to build my network of key crew members. Lately, I've been shooting a lot of spec spots and low budget music videos and shorts. Fully paid gigs are around the corner. So, if you're a Gaffer or Key Grip or are aspiring to be one, then we should talk. IM me if interested.

Cheers,

Need some footage shot with an EX3?

Could you use a second XDCAM on your next job?

I own an EX3 along with dual wireless Sennheiser G2s. I'm centrally located in Pennsylvania close to the state capital in Harrisburg, Lancaster Amish country, and Gettysburg. I'm just two hours from Philadelphia, Baltimore, and DC.

Put me in your address book now for future reference!

Sorry, no dry rentals.

Hi,

I'm shooting a music video the weekend of 7/11 and would like to add some crane/jib shots to our visual arsenal. 1 day, either the 11th or the 12th.

We're shooting in Marina Del Ray on the HVX, mostly exteriors.

I'm not opposed to cranes other than Kessler, but know and trust the brand. If you have something else, I'll need to be convinced what performance level we can expect.

It is one of these tiny productions, therefore what we can offer is $100, with a little room to negotiate based on your package, whether you'd like to operate, and your experience.

If you're interested, we'll be more than happy to hear from you. Please email d_lahat@yahoo.com, and respond with:

* Your availability for that weekend
* Whether you'd be interested in operating or not
* If yes, your operating experience (any work samples online?)
* Your package: specifically, sticks, arm reach, monitoring, motorized/fluid/underslung heads (we want to follow our singer down a flight of stairs, underslung will be ideal)
* Where you're located

And we'll go from there.

Thanks, and happy 4th of July!

I've got a JVC HD10 that I need to get a tape out of and am wondering if anyone in the LA area has a battery for an HD100 (they take the same battery) that I could come and use for 10-15 seconds to eject this tape. I'll buy a cup of coffee for the gesture! I'm in a bit of a pinch, so I'd want to do this asap.

Thanks very much,

Hi guys

This is somewhat of an emergency.

We (swiss company) will fly to London Gatwick on monday morning and we will shoot some interviews in Burgess Hill and Bournemouth on monday and tuesday.

We will bring our own RED. But we need:

• a camera assistent/runner
• a Tripod
• some lights (Redheads or so)

The runner should have a car to drive us.
We will pay 250£ a day plus expenses, and a hotel room on monday night.

The company we were in contact with, just e-mailed us to let us down in the last second.

Hi There,

I have moved from Toronto to Geneva, Switzerland where I am now working as a freelance EFP/ENG Cameraman and Videographer/Editor/Producer. I've done everything from broadcast news to producing corporate videos.

I don't have too many contacts in Europe so if you happen to know anyone or know some productions houses, I could use the connections!

Also if you ever need anything in Switzerland or anywhere in Europe really (Geneva is very central, Spain, France, Germany, Italy are all an hour or two away) please contact me. I have my own gear (XDCam HD, Final Cut Pro, Lighting etc) and love to travel!

Hello,

I've finished editing a piece on Vegas 7. I'm going to submit to festivals. A few are asking me to submit HDCAM tapes. I'm in the DC area. I was wondering if somebody would be interested in helping me to print those tapes? I'll buy the tapes. You tell me how much you think you need. If you're cheaper than DUART, why not use a member on this board.
Larry

Oh, I'm kind in a hurry, so if I don't here about somebody within, let's say 10 days I'll go ahead with DUART.

I currently mainly do audio/sound in Production (boom op, location mixer..)Looking for small-med projects that need audio/sound work done to them. I'm trying to build my portfolio so if you have a project and need my help please email me with details. I'm not looking to make money right now just looking for a few projects so I can build my portfolio. If you like what I do and you decide to use it I just ask that you give me credit as the post production sound designer/mixer. Hopefully I will receive some responses so I can start working. Coming to Miami next week, looking to get some lights locally for a smallish job, and if you have an XH-A1, maybe hire you to shoot as well.

Don't know if this is the right board for this thread, but am looking for someone for July 27/28 in the Ft. Lauderdale area to shoot a chef preparing dishes...

Let me know if there is a better or other places to post this. Thanks.

I'm looking to team up with another XH-A1 shooter for weddinings and events. I have a small, part time, videotaping buisness and would like to find someone nearby that would like to partner up with me or be a second cam operator. I'd like to retire my wife as my second cam operator (HV30) before it causes a devorce.
I'm located in LaPorte, Indiana.

Contact me at memoriesinmotion.indiana@comcast.net

Thanks,

After being engaged for something like 4 years, the fiance and I have finally set a date, booked a hall and have begun actually planning the wedding. Being a professional image maker (I should put that on my business card) I've taken charge of arranging the visual documentation of our big day. I'm happy to report that we've found a GREAT photographer that we're very excited to work with.

And then there's video. I'm amazed by the amount of crap out there. All of the photo studios we looked at offered video as well and they all sucked at it. The studio we're going with does acceptable video but nothing really great. If I don't find anything else, that will be the way to go but before I give in, I want to look for a place/person that does only video and does it REALLY well. So here I am.

The date: January 15, 2011 (18 months from yesterday so there's still time)
The place: Reception in Mineola, Long Island (NY). Ceremony TBD but not far from that.

If anyone wants to submit themselves for consideration or has any recommendations for quality videographers in my neck of the woods, reply here or PM me.

Thanks very much!

~~Dave

Try Craigslist, but don't be one of those cheap #%@% by offering $8/hour or some ridiculously low compensation. Pay people what YOU would want to be paid. You'll get better help that way.

Jeff Nelson

Craigslist, hadn't thought of that, good idea. Actually looking more to rent lights than a cam and operator. Bringing 3 cameras and my wife and son can probably do a decent job. Will look around. Thanks.

We are putting together a pilot and I need video clips of animal removals specifically from south FL but will accept from other areas, also.

We do not pay for clips but we will make mention of where the clip came from.

If you can assist us in getting these clips, we'll certainly be loyal and remember you when we hire for this project.

If you have any interest in working with us on this, please let us know.

Thank you.
Lisa
