Hi all, new here as you can tell. You folks have some amazing nature and wildlife video.

I have seen a lot of information explaining how to photograph the aurora, but have found nothing for video. I'm assuming a slow shutter speed and open iris would be proper, but I'm just wondering if any of you have any helpful tips for a newbie. I just got my first good camera last fall (dvx 100b).

Thanks for any tips, and links to any of your northern lights video.

Ken

Your best bet is to use a DSLR and do a series of long exposures.

The last time I was photographing the Northern lights I was using 20 second exposures. Way beyond the capabilities of my video camera.
