I've got a real problem. During playback from my timeline I'm starting to get major audio drift problems. i.e. after about 5 - 10 minutes of straight playback my video is out of sync with my audio by as much as 2 seconds.

System; Dual 3Ghz Quad Core Mac Pro, OS 10.4.11, 10 GB memory, CalDigit, eSata 5 disk array (JBOD array - RAID 0), AJA Kona LHe - firmware 5.1 (latest - using HD-SDI), FCP 6.0.2., latest QuickTime.

Any help/suggestions would be most appreciated.

Where did the audio come from? What format is the audio media?

Martin,

The footage is input via HD-SDI (from XDCAM & HDV) to ProRes422 (HQ) 1080i, 29.97 - same as my sequence (I've checked). I DO NOT have any sync issues with the original footage only a progressively worse drift as the timeline plays. If I look at the time line in short chunks there is no error only a progressive error as time passes.

Here's my solution.

After much trashing of preferences, checking configurations, emails to tech support I decided to check my rack. Turns out that a loose connection between the AJA card and my breakout box was to blame. I was getting video but apparently no control info was being transfered to my HD-SDI monitor causing the video to drift out of line with the sound. Sometimes it's the simple things.
