Hello to everybody!!!!

I have two little question about XH-A1. I'm near to purchase one and I wan't to know:

1.- There is Y/C (SVHS) conexion for output or there is a cable to do this from Components (RGB) conexion? (to connect the cam to a Datavideo SE-500 analog mixer; composite or Y/C conexions).

2.- HDV to SD Downconversion. Quality? (I have worked with Sony FX1 and it is very good). Similar, better, worse?
And one thing that I have read but I don't understand: black line (I don't know where, up, down, right...) when you convert to SD from HDV? I'ts real? It's an old issue and is repaired?

IMHO: The HDV-to-SD down-convert in the A1 is decent. But it is a down convert, and after watching footage in HDV, SD looks pretty disappointing, especially when viewed on a HD set.

The A1 has IEEE1394 (firewire), component (RBG) and composite (CVBS) output, but no s-video (Y/C). The general convention is S-VHS is a tape format, not a cable connection type.

There is small common problem with most, if not all of the Canon PAL HDV cameras. When you downconvert in the camera, the resulting frame has a horizontal flickering line 2 or 3 pixels down from the top.

Depending on how you view the footage, you might never see it, but to be safe I always matte to black a few pixels from the top and bottom.
