Hey players and players to-be:

UWOL T-shirts should be shipping next week to the players who won them in UWOL 2007. Once our new UWOL 2.0 website is unveiled, when our next contest begins, you will all have the opportunity to order your very own spanking new UWOL shirt.

I'm uploading an image of the front design, to give you an idea. The actual shirt itself will be a bit darker, "forest green."

Cost will be $20 + international shipping to your area. I will print a grid with costs of shipping to our players, in their various parts of the world, after I have packaged up the first round of deliveries, so I can give you very specific costs. Payment will be through Paypal, since they have automatic currency conversion.

whoops, the thanks for the design goes to Mat...I had that noted in my original post, but when I had to switch browsers, I think I lost it somehow....

Mat is the one who keeps us looking good!

And Markus, your enthusiasm is charming!

i know. i relish torturing the players! the back of the t-shirt will be unveiled when we launch UWOL 2008. to give you something to look forward to....

for instance, sign-ups begin one week from tomorrow. which means you only have to wait two more weeks for the fiendish THEME to be unleashed!! all across the planet...

what could it possibly be??

Great design!
You guys did a very good job. As soon as I can get my hands on one, I'll proudly wear it.

And here we go again, Meryem teasing us with the next theme...
Yes, what could it be? hmmm, must be something FUN!
It will be good to get started again after 2 long months without a challenge.

How exciting!!! The T-shirts, the challenge and the new website are all just around the corner! Oh, and the cost of the T's are very reasonable.... but it's the international shipping cost from Boulder way up here to Lyons that just might do me in (wink, wink) ;-).

Cat, remember that your T-shirt has to move around the world to be signed before it end up in your mailbox ;-)
As Mat remarks, you ain't seen the back yet!

he's losing it up there in the cold arctic north! long winter, brian?

why do i laugh at your jokes???

Long winter is an under statement. We've been stuck in the house for the past three days, temperature minus 30 C wind blowing a 97 kpm which is producing a wind chill of minus 50 degrees C which for those of you that think in F thats minus 57 degrees the visibility is zero and on top of all that my two year old granddaughter came to visit and has been stuck here for all three days.

I'm exhausted and will not read anymore books or draw anymore pictures that's it I quit.

Brian,

Checked the weather the other day and supposedly the only place colder on the planet than here in Sask was Siberia russia.

Of course if you count wind chill that is another case!!!

the North is no place for a southerner.

Today is pretty nice -20, light wind, positively exellerating to be out in.

Heck I was out flying a kite for awhile!!

Look forward to the tee shirts.

I'm just about ready to jump from a tall building....the storm rages on. Earlier I thought I saw my neighbors porch light....I think. The granddaughter is tired of us and she's ready to go home...we ran out of DVD's, books, the crayons are worn down to nubs and my nerves are worn out completely.

I don't know what I did but what ever it was it PO'd mother nature to no end.

Dale Siberia sound good to me....Bob I'm starting to see it your way, I've got to be nuts.

Brian,

This winter we have only had a couple weeks of cold!!! may be another winter that never was.

Being weather bound is the pits!!!! Sounds like a great theme for an indoor version of a uwol competition. Show the insanity, shoot out the window once in awhile. could have fun with that one, and never even go outside.

brian--try coloring.com, that should be good, for oh say, half an hour of brain-frazzling toddler entertainment....

and if that doesn't work, there's always 144 nature films that you can download from a certain nature and outdoors video producer's site that i know of...would you like the name of the link?

Brian McKay
January 22nd, 2008, 02:49 PM
Thanks for the link...I've seen enough nature films this past week to fill my need for the remainder of my life....such classics as Nemo, Bambi and my once upon a time favorite Jungle Book.

I'm about ready to sell my camera kit and take up hunting......

Wow, I got my hands on the T-shirt. It arrived in my mail-box today.
In fact I'm wearing it right now, sitting in my editing studio, puzzling with tons of footage for uwol-7.
This is very inspirational and force me to try to reach 6 new uwol-rounds for another shirt!
Thanks a lot to this community!

Is there a direct link to buy through paypal on the site?

Or do we just send a paypal payment to the email listed?

Now that I've finally contributed, I feel the need for a shirt...

Meryem Ersoz
February 29th, 2008, 09:50 AM
pay through paypal (their currency converter makes this the easiest way to convert all these euros and drachmas and things...), and shoot me an e-mail to uwol@comcast.net with your preferred size (m, l, xl, 2x) and mailing address...couldn't be easier...

Bob Thieda
February 29th, 2008, 10:11 AM
Meryem, please forgive my denseness this morning....

This, uwol@comcast.net, is the email address you want us to send the paypal payment to, correct?

I was expecting a paypal "Buy Now" link at the site and just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing it.

Sorry to be such a pain,
Bob
