I have these two Sennheiser Mics and have a couple questions.
The ME66/K6 Shotgun and The Evolution G2 100 Series Lavalier Mic.
The ME66 came with a SG-1 Windscreen , should I leave this on when in a church, or take it off?
How long does the battary last in these units under normal use?

It's generally considered more respectful to take it off in church

More usefully, all windscreens introduce a slight coloration to the sound. I would keep it off the shotgun inside unless there's a good reason for keeping it on.
Sorry I can't tell you yet how long the battery lasts - I put new ones in for recordings and use up the part used batteries for rehearsals just cos I'm used to that for theatre radio mics.

I'd suggest just the opposite of Colin and say leave it on. While you won't expect breezes indoors, moving the mic through the air has the same effect.

The ME66's bass response is so good that even doing a pan will generate rumble in still air. Keep the Rycote softie on for life.

That sounds to me like a good enough reason to keep it on. For some reason I assumed that the mic would be on a stand indoors. Certainly keep the windscreen on if the mic's on the camera or a boom. Sorry for earlier bad advice!
