Hi:

I´ve tried to use the registry keys to disable the metadata in AE, instead of removing the importers. But it seems that it is only disabling it for media player. The clips in AE still have the metadata applied.

Is this correct?

AE7 maybe, as it has it own controls (though limited) through Interpret Footage->main->more options. AE CS3 uses the new global controls.

Global controls?

Ok, global controls.

Thats what i mean, when i disable the active metadata using the global controls. I only see the result when playing the file on media player, even premier is playing the file without the metadata

but the CF RAW files imported in After Effects still have the metadata applied.

What do you think is happening?

This is why you should use support, as you still haven'y told me what version of AE you are using, I can't help you until you do. Even then you should use support.

Have you filed a ticket with support yet? That will allow them to test this out. I might also get a chance later.

David:

I´ve doing some tests with the metadata. The problem is that im using windows x64 so maybe the global control scripts need to be adapted to work in 64bit windows.

I test the RAW files in a laptop running 32bit windows and the scripts worked flawless.

I tryied to adapt the scripts to work on win64 but truth is that I dont understand much about the registry keys, and it didnt work maybe with some direction I can doit.

That is good news then. We have an x64 system at the office, I will try it tomorrow and learn what has to change in the scripts. Thank you for your patience.
