I'm new at this, so if this is a dumb question you'll know why! :)
I have a clip that about 1 hour and 15 minutes. The file is 1920x1080 and is compressed with Cineform using Prospect. The file size is 98GB.
I wanted to deinterlace it, so I ran it through the Smart Deinterlace filter in VirtualDub and again saved the result with Cineform. The file size for the deinterlaced version is 157GB.
Does anyone have any idea why would the deinterlaced version be so much larger? I figured they would be around the same size.
