I have been looking at the Sony HVL-LBP LED Video light, any other recommendations in on camera LED lighting.

the Sony led light is great. I love mine as it throws a beam perfectly even for the z1 even at its widest zoom.

the shoemount is plastic and its only flaw for how big and heavy the light is with a 9 series battery... never broke on me but always felt on the verge.

I used it on stands all the time. three of these would work for an interview setup.

I give it 4 out of 5 stars

check out litepanels, or the IDX LED light. both pretty awesome.

Have a look at the Light panel micro. Runs on 4 AA's for 1.5 hours, fully dimmable. Available at the end of Janurary.
