After having worked with the brevis35 with a sigma 28mm f1.8 and a 24-70mm zoom I found shooting hand held to be a bit heavy. Additionally to my Xh-A1 I now have a Hv20 so I'm looking into a small and light wide angle that doesn't have vigneting problems. Any suggestions?

I´m using the Nikkor 28/2,8 AIS that also is great at 2,8.
Many other faster wides have barrell and soft corners.
Really compact and super high quality.

Thanks. So, you're not getting any vigneting with the brevis with the 28mm?

I´m using the Letus HD relay version with the Canon XLH1.

Take the cam+your Brevis to a camera-store and test the combo first
so you like it. Since AF are more popular for DSLR, there are
nice used MF out there, and the Manual are better for this.
Some little breathing though like most still lenses,
but 28mm for me it´s more of a "presentation" angle lens,
then I move over to 50mm and 85mm...

BTW, I forgot to mention I have a Nikon E 28mm 1: 2.8 AI-s and it vingetts like crazy with the brevis (even with the latest gg and the achromat). I've read that the AI non E models are better then the AIS E models concerning this issue. Can anyone confirm?

The Nikon "E-series" version have smaller glass, and was the "Economical" version ( further down ).
I use the Nikkor 28/ 2,8 is a AIS, ( on top ).
