Getting issues sorted out with a just built system with an Nvidia 8600GTS. Solved an issue where WMP11 had problems with the CineForm files, by changing an overlay setting (thanks to Ali). Remaining problem is that the files can not be seen within Vegas. Audio is fine, but the video track does not show the video. I'm wondering if there is a setting within Vegas similar to what I changed in WMP11, but if so, I can't find it?

Anyone have any ideas?

It is Vegas bug, all version of 8 have this bug. Rename the CFHD.dll component in the C:\Program Files\Sony\Vegas 8.0 directory, it is too old, and Vegas sometimes mistakenly loads that instead for the latest version installed in Windows/system32/.

David, THANK YOU. I have posted regarding this issue several times after installing Vegas 8 and no one had an answer as to why there was such a delay in they way video showed up on the timeline, it has been driving me nuts on a daily basis. I had never been so po'd with an app. It is now running like a different app.

I recall that several members of this forum held on to the notion that several of us having similar issues were the "odd men out" because most others weren't having the same issues.

In fact we lost a fine forum member, I believe because that attitude eventually caused him such frustration that his final exasperated post was removed and he moved on. While I do love this forum, I'll never forget that sorry episode.
