I get my B-Flip today (am liking my version of the name, you can pay me later for that Dennis) and can't wait to try it out.
I was also out yesterday for an hour playing around with my Hartblei http://www.hartblei.com/lenses/lens_35mm.htm shift tilt lenses on the Letus Extreme. Very nice they are too. Very effective at creative interesting DOF.
You can see that short on my blog at www.philipbloom.co.uk and I will also be reviewing the B-Flip in my usual non technical way. Am sure there are many guys out there who will go into all the detail for you. I will just talk about setting up and actual use!

Brevis Flip is now mounted on my EX1. A few problems initial problems but all sorted now! Read about them on my blog at www.philipbloom.co.uk

Phil, we should be able to figure out a solution without adding space...but we'll get to that after a break this week. CF2Le and the solid carbon rods are on their way to you for some more playtime.
Merry Christmas All :-)

don't do what I did and put the spacer between the achromat and lens. Causes very bad edge softness. I will have to wait for Dennis to stop being so selfish by eating Turkey and giving presents to his children. Doesn't he realise WE are his new children and WE want presents!!!!

Hi Dennis,
are you planing to make any Relay version of this flip?
To attach direct to the Canon XLH1 body.
Nice Blog reports Philip, very interesting.
Extreme is more compact in size, right.
Thanks!

FANTASTIC NEWS!!
I have got the flip to work with the Brevis and the EX1. I haven't shot anything, that's tomorrow but it works and focuses on the GG now.
What have I done? Very little really...tried repeatedly with no success then I tried reversing the flip. When you get the flip it looks identical on either side. Especially with the logo. Is there a difference I really don't know but I removed everything and put it the other way around and hey presto...it WORKS!
I am worried that this has just been my ineptitude. If it is then I am very sorry. I shall make up for it with lovely pics. I promise. As much as I adore my extreme it's incredibly important to have competition out there as it makes everyone work harder and produce the best product for people like us!
So tomorrow I take it and my CF2LE out to shoot some pics. Wish me luck!

Phil, make sure you spend a few moments doing the two XY adjustments (if required) to get your EX1 lens dead centered on the imaging element. It's a one-time adjustment and will reduce your zoom-in requirement a great deal. With all of the Brevis units in your collection, I've lost track of which have the micro-collimating lens mount system..but a good idea to confirm that setting is correct too.

Phil, pm'd you over at the Cinevate forum. The procedure is quite similar to what you're already used to with the non-flipped Brevis...but now there's even more provision for getting those pesky HV20s and HVX200s into perfect alignment :-)
