What does IMX mean?
View Full Version : PAL Standard / IMX Widescreen (720x576, 25.000 fps) Simon Denny December 20th, 2007, 02:15 AM What does IMX mean? Mike Kujbida December 20th, 2007, 06:34 AM It was a format developed by Sony broadcast as a digital replacement for Betacam SP a number of years ago. Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Betacam) has a brief blurb on it as does this site (http://www.edithouse.com.au/information/imx.html). Simon Denny December 20th, 2007, 01:51 PM Thanks Mike for the links. When using a widescreen template with Vegas and my Sony Z1, which template setting should I use, IMX widescreen or Standard widescreen. Cheers Simon Mike Kujbida December 20th, 2007, 09:17 PM Simon, if it was me, I'd stick to standard widescreen as neither the Vegas manual, the online help or the Knowledgebase are much help about IMX. Simon Denny December 21st, 2007, 02:52 PM Thanks Mike. Regards Simon |
