Hi, recently my XH A1 switches to HDV mode when i plug into my mac, whilst using FCP, I then have to switch back to camera mode, then back to video mode it then switches back to SD and FCP then picks it up.

I know why its not picking it up on HDV mode but do not understand why its started switching to HDV mode in the first place.

Any help is most welcome thanks everyone....

Hi, whatever your project was shot in, hdv or sd, select that mode in the vcr menu before you plug it into the computer. Don't plug it in with auto selected.

Also, if you mess this up a time or two with FCP open you'll need to restart FCP to finally get it to recognize.
